UPMC Health Plan needed to teach their Health Providers' staff how to properly complete a claim form to ensure prompt payment. In our meetings with them, we learned the common problems that can slow or completely stop the processing of a claim. This video shows what happens to a claim form as it goes through UPMC Health Plan's system and the obstacles and detours it may encounter if the form is completed incorrectly.
